It is a nice semi-custom call. The yelp is high pitched on the front, nasty raspy on the back. Cuts are crisp. And that is the extent of it. Don't carry this thinking you can get soft with it. Finish is good, but I don't think it was with the $180 I spent for it.
Very well crafted. The call is very easy to use and well worth the wait to receive. Can’t wait to hit the woods and try it out. I know it will produce!!
Outstanding box. Great high pitched turkey talk. This box will kill!
To my ear, this longbox makes the most realistic hen yelps and cuts than any box call I own. It has a surprisingly wide range volume-wise. You can make subtle, realistic tree yelps but also crank up the volume when needed. The size of the box is not too big, which is important to me. I strongly recommend you buy one of David’s leather longbox holsters if you get this call. The longbox fits snuggly in the pouch and does not move or make a peep, unlike the box call holder on my vest. I love David’s short boxes, but this longbox is my new favorite.

Great call. I love the high pitch raspy sound. It is very easy to run, my 8 yr old son runs it with ease. Will be good for windy days.
