The Metal Mouth Crystal Features a crystal calling surface over a concave aluminum sound board set in a ebony stained sycamore pot. The design of the metallic sound board makes for nasty yelps with effortless roll over. Paired with both a one piece turned striker and a two piece striker, the Metal Mouth Crystal allows for a full range of calls. This call is pure turkey.
I already own two of David's calls -the Double Glass and Slate Over Glass - and love them. But I was turkey hunting recently with a buddy who was calling for me and he busted out this call and from the first cluck I was in love!! I liked the range of this call from the soft purrs and tantalizing yelps to the ear-splitting cuts, cackles, and yelps it is able to produce. It is forgiving enough for my son to make decent sounds on it and the range of different calls it can produce makes this call a must-have for any serious turkey hunter. I liked it so much I ordered one before I left the blind that day!
One of, if not the best pot call I have ever played. A buddy had several calls by David Halloran and I played them all. I fell in love with this call so I bought one the same day. It was shipped quickly and I had the call before the next hunt. It's super crisp and loud! You can soften up and get some light calling done as well. If you haven't purchased a metal mouth II you are missing out.

Better than expected
I bought this call for my stepdaughter. She’s new to turkey hunting. I have many custom call in my vest and this one sound just as good if not better than some. Can’t wait to see what the long boxes sound like.

I thought the Crystal Mistress was exceptional. The Metal mouth takes it to a new level. extreme range and the clucks and purrs roll off the face. Next on my list will be your slate call!
I now have 2 of Hallorans box calls, and 2 of his pot calls including the Metal Mouth II. Wow! I love the quality and realistic sounds.
Halloran is making some of the finest boxes and pots of anyone alive. Paired with an ipe striker this pot carries a lot of rasp and just plain talks turkey.
Best dang call you’ll ever use. If you can’t call in a turkey with this call, you might as well call it a day and watch from the TV.
