The Metal Mouth Crystal Features a crystal calling surface over a concave aluminum sound board set in a ebony stained sycamore pot. The design of the metallic sound board makes for nasty yelps with effortless roll over. Paired with both a one piece turned striker and a two piece striker, the Metal Mouth Crystal allows for a full range of calls. This call is pure turkey.
Gave Dave a call a few months ago asking about calls and he gave me some nice direction on what I was looking for. Had it custom engraved for my daughter and he even signed it for her, stand up guy and you won’t be disappointed by the most realistic slate I’ve ever put my hands on. David and Ashley definitely run a great business and produce a great product. They added a very nice touch to my experience(which I will keep to myself) but it was greatly appreciated. I received my call in a timely manner but you do not need to wait just before season to order. They do not mass produce. A very nice call that has great sound. Thanks!!

Awesome pot call! High pitched, raspy back end on yelps , sounds amazing.
The workmanship is great the sound is great I just waited to late to order it so I will have to wait until next year to see how the turkeys react. It’s got to many turkey sounds in it for it not to work. Can’t wait till next season.

Metal Mouth II is a very Unique sounding call very high pitch that breaks in to a deep rasp. This call is amazing at drawing birds in on high wind days. Great for striking birds at long distance. With the right touch you can tame this call down to soft purrs and clucks that have an amazing sound. The only down side of Metal Mouth II is you need a conditioning stone to keep this amazing sound popping and ringing. If you loose your conditioning stone like I did this year and switch to a normal green Scotch-Brite scratch pad. You’ll see the sound quality rammed way down and you will looses your long range locating cuts that work so well out of this call. Buy a stone with this call or if your like me buy three stones lol. Btw I own Tons pot calls from every person that ever made a pot and peg call. David’s Metal Mouth II is the best pot call I’ve ever heard!
great call, sounds amazing and different then slate I like to mix it up
Sure, the Halloran reputation preceded my purchase, but I was honestly blown away at the fit and finish of the surface, pot and soundboard. My first stroke on the call was a purr- as that seems to be the weakness in my other glass and crystal calls. It turned every head in the room, and despite no practice on this call my skills improved momentarily. The next morning, I called two toms off a flock. I’m a believer now.
