Persimmon is a softer striker pairs well with slate for soft calling
Bloodwood is a hard and heavy striker, pairs well with crystal and ceramic surfaces

Hickory one piece striker

David's one piece strikers are professional grade. I have used them numerous times over the past four years to consistently call in high pressures public land gobblers in both Idaho and Pennsylvania. These strikers help add depth to your calling arsenal, which is key when working public land gobblers. I highly recommend adding several of these to turkey vest, you won't regret it.

One piece Hickory

I only have two piece strikers & never used a one piece striker, so I'm no expert, but I bought the Hickory one piece turned striker for my DH green slate because the product info said that hickory works good on slate. Well, it definitely works great on my slate call. It gives me another tone as well, I like having multi tones for variety. I can also make my slate louder with it, especially the purr. I also like that they write the wood type on the side of the striker.

Awesome strikers I have used these strikers in the past, my son decided to keep them, in which I don’t mind. So I ordered new ones. Great strikers.

I recently ordered two strikers and just received them. The Jatoba sounds awesome on a crystal pot call and the persimmon great on a slate. Very happy I ordered these, I can't wait to try them in the woods this week!
