Yellowheart, Purple Heart and Ipe are great all around strikers, their heavier weight pairs well with all surfaces.
Jatoba is a great mid-weight striker, commonly paired with crystal.
Hickory is a great option for slate surfaces easily providing both soft calling and aggressive calling.
Persimmon is a softer striker pairs well with slate for soft calling
Bloodwood is a hard and heavy striker, pairs well with crystal and ceramic surfaces
Tigerwood is a mid weight striker pairing well with all surfaces particularly slate.

I have purple heart, Jatoba, blood wood, hickory and yellow heart. All are good, the purple, blood wood and hickory are my favorite. I use them on slate, aluminum, crystal, and ceramic and all good sounds. The hickory is great on aluminum. Purpleheart is fantastic on ceramic.

The Purple Heart striker runs really smooth and makes a great sounding call with paired with my crystal mistress. Huge fan of David’s call. Some of the best in the business.

Great strikers have the bloodwood and purple heart. Have all my pot calls sound better than the factory striker.

I have the yellow heart, blood wood and Ebony. Great strikers that perform well on many surfaces. Can’t go wrong with any of them.

I had an aluminum call that I was having trouble with. Spoke with David and he recommended I try one of his strikers in Ipe. It worked perfect with my call. Very well made and at a good price.

These are great strikers for the money. Super high quality and hand turned. My favorites are the Purple Heart and yellow heart but I love all of them.
