The slate over glass call is an excellent call for closing the distance. Soft clucks, yelps and purrs can be reproduced with ease. And if the need for more aggressive calling arises, don't be afraid to hit'em with some loud yelps and sharp cutting. Each call comes with a striker.
I love this call, I prefer crystal and glass calls over slate but this one is amazing. Cherry slate and the crystal mistress make for a deadly combo.
I bought this one to replace a previous purchase that somehow ended up with a cracked slate. It has the great sound of the previous call and I’m sure will do a great job.

Best slate I’ve ever ran by far. There’s quality in all of David’s calls that you just can’t get in any of the popular name brand call makers that mass produce. Soft calling is easy on this slate and it also is capable of sharp cuts and loud yelps if needed. It will be the best slate pot call you’ll have in your vest.

This is a beautifully crafted slate not just in appearance, but tonally as well. It lays back nicely and opens up just as easy. Opening day here in VA and it was all I needed to bring a bird right in for the shot. What a great start to this years season. Thank you David!!
