Quite simply the box came in beyond my high expectations. Not only is it a true work of art but the sounds are going to cause a gobbler to lose his mind. The Yelp has a shrill high end that drops like a millstone to a deep guttural rasp. I love it and I’m sure an old Tom will too. Can’t wait to put it to the test this spring. I’m so glad I sprung for the short box holster as well. Fantastic quality and fits the call to perfection. The whole package is well worth the money! Great job David and I will be a repeat customer for sure!

i am very satisfied with the craftsmanship and sound it produces! It has a deep rasp great for fooling a gobbler into thinking he has competition for the attention of a hen. Very unique sound and I love it
I can tell you it is beautiful box. Going from super loud to soft. You will find it makes REAL turkey sounds that are not achieved by average box. I am sixty six, have quite a few box calls. I find this box intriguing, in it's craftsmanship,and sounds it will produce. I can't walk by it with out picking it up and letting out a bunch of turkey sounds !

Purchased this Ebony and Black Limba box call as a gift for my brother who is just getting into turkey hunting. I had to test it of course, and it sounds outstanding! Pure turkey! The call is easy to run, and should work well for the intended purpose. This is my 4th checkered short box call purchase from David Halloran since 2014. All have been outstanding calls!
Truly impressive. The tones and action of this box call is excellent. It has great feel and weight to it. The density of the paddle allows for great and contact with the call. No skipping off. I look forward to using this call. The craftsmanship is also a work of art. On those long sits it will be a pleasure to look at. Highly recommend.
Quite simply...the deadliest box call on planet Earth. David's use of a heavier than normal lid makes purrs and whines so easy, yet still has a sharp cluck and excellent rollover when yelping....my favorite to start a bird up.
The call looks great - I really like the weight - feels good in the hand and the size is a little shorter then most box calls which i like Most of all it will sound like a turkey
