I have used this call many Years and has never Failed to get a Gobbling if he is anywhere around. Very rich tones can be very loud or soft as needed. I highly suggest to get the holster when you buy the call as it silences the call as you walk through the woods. Great job David.

The craftsmanship on my Ebony and Walnut Checkered Short Box deserves a spot in my collection, but it sounds too good to leave behind glass! Yelps, clucks, purrs, putts and gobbles sound just like the real thing!

I’ve seen A lot of good calls on the market and some so so and I possess several good calls. I’ll rephrase that phenomenal Calls that I’ve harvested a lot of turkey with but believe me when I heard that short box Walnut I have not been able to test it out because I was tagged out, but damn it is without a doubt one of the best calls I’ve ever heard and when you’ve been hunting turkeys going on 65 years do you know what I’m talking about? Thank you very much beautiful workmanship. It is an heirloom get yourself one .
Without question, the best box call I have ever used. I received it very soon after ordering it and left the very next day for a turkey hunt in western New Mexico. I quickly determined that there is definitely a learning curve required to really understand how to even start to use the full range of what this call is capable of.. Also, the call is a work of art and very pleasing to look at.
The absolute best box call I’ve bought the heavy lid makes easy calling and sounds like a real hen Turkey beautiful looking also tagged out in Vermont 2024 season using this box call 14 lb Jake and a 18 lb Tom
