A checkered short box with a macassar ebony paddle paired with a black walnut box. This is one of David's favorite combinations. The combination produces a high front end with a shril raspy back end yelp that is pure turkey.
I purchased my this box call from David at the Dixie Deer Classic in 2024. It’s a beautiful piece of craftsmanship and an awesome call. Produces some of the best turkey sounds to ever come out of a box call. I had the privilege on a morning hunt last year to call in 4 beautiful longbeards together and take one and it was an absolute joy watching those birds come in looking for that raspy old hen! David’s work is amazing!!
