This is hands down one of the best custom calls I’ve seen from David Halloran. Very easy to use it the craftsmanship is phenomenal.

I’ve purchased a few of David’s pot calls over the last three years and love them all. After looking at his box calls online, I decided to order an ebony & walnut box with custom engraving to add to the arsenal. Upon receiving it, giving it a visual, then a sound test, I’m every bit as impressed with this call (possibly more so) than his slates. Beautiful call with a pure turkey rasp to match. Runs easy and has a good “break” to it. Turkey season opens in another month and I’m looking forward to using this call!

Best box call excellent quality and sound compared it to some of my other box calls they can’t touch David’s calls! In my opinion he is the best call maker out there his pot calls are awesome as well !

I carried an old Lynch World Champion box calls for years and thought I would never replace it. Well I am here to tell you that it has been replaced by David’s Ebony & Walnut checkered short box call. The box call has to be one of the most underutilized calls on public lands. I never leave home without one and David’s Ebony & Walnut short box is a game changer. I use it to fire up tight lipped gobblers or as a changeup on hung-up birds. It really excels where other calls fall short. Yes the call is a little pricey but you literally get what you pay for. David makes a great product that will last you for years. Based on my almost 40 years of calling turkey across the country on public lands, he probably makes several of the best turkey calls on the market today.
