A checkered short box with a macassar ebony paddle paired with a black walnut box. This is one of David's favorite combinations. The combination produces a high front end with a shril raspy back end yelp that is pure turkey.

Bought this call last year near the end of the 2019 season and was super bummed I didn’t get it in time to hunt with, but that’s okay, cause this is a smoking hot sexy and awesome sounding call and I’ll be starting 2020 with it in my vest! Since I won this call as a prize in a gobbler contest last Spring, I have not got to use it to hunt Spring gobblers yet. I did use it this fall. Excellent cutts, clucks, and cackles. Yelps start high, then drop off the cliff with rasp. I own 10 box calls but only carry two when hunting. this one has found a pocket in my vest.
