A checkered short box with a macassar ebony paddle paired with a black walnut box. This is one of David's favorite combinations. The combination produces a high front end with a shril raspy back end yelp that is pure turkey.
Bought this call before the Pa season started. The gobblers couldn’t resist the sound of this beautiful box call. Highly recommend!
I love this call! It's gorgeous to look at, and apparently the birds find it gorgeous to listen to. I used this call for turkey surveys and had the toms rushing in looking for a hot hen. They must have been pretty disappointed to see me there, instead. Buy it. You won't regret it!
Ordered this Box call and it quickly became my favorite call. It is a very versatile call that allows for Raspy or clear tones on both clucks and yelps. The heavy lid makes it easy to use and helps you consistently get great sounds! Highly recommend you get one for your vest!

This thing is pure turkey. I’ve always carried a box call in my vest as a formality, it’s what grandad did. With that said, if a guy/gal was looking to only carry one “do it all” call to the turkey woods, this would be it. Not to mention it’s beautiful.

Purchased the box after watching a few clips of David using them on the NWTF website, I immediately knew I loved the tone. The call is amazing and runs really well. I will be picking up a pot call. When I broke it out at camp the fellas all said wow that’s pretty, after they heard it 2 of them said they are buying one.
First time out, called up nice 2 yr old gobbler which my 15 yr old grandson took cleanly with one shot. I’m sure that won’t be the last, great tone and volume especially on windy days. Already have the purple heart and cedar, going to get a walnut and butternut for my grandson . Great craftsmanship!
