This call is a best seller and one of my personal favorite combinations. This checkered short box has a purple heart lid paired with a cedar box. This call can do it all, from loud locating to close range purrs. The cedar box is makes it easy to use with a lot of great rasp.

First off customer service was top notch. My mom bought this for me as a Christmas present, and there was some kind of problem with her PO Box. As for the call, this is the nicest best sounding call I have now. Better than the Zink, wood haven, bone collector, and of course the $10 Primos one I bought to start with. I had been eyeing David's boxes for nearly seven years and finally pulled the trigger on a cedar/purpleheart short paddle. First let me tell you, if you're looking for a barky-raspy call with phenomenal rollover, this is the one. I love that it's so clear and loud, yet has so much rasp and bark on the back end. The cuts on it are so distinct and aggressive, makes my other box call sound like I'm smacking two pieces of wood together. I can already tell this one is going to drive them nuts. The clucks and purrs are incredibly soft given how lound the call is on the yelps and cuts. I imagine you could bring them in on this call alone. If you're on the fence about one of these calls just pull the trigger, you'll be glad you did!
