This checkered short box has a purple heart lid paired with a Sapele box. The Purple Heart & Sapele combination is a smooth running call that really excels at mid-range calling. The call will give you plenty of volume when you need it but tones down quickly for softer yelps and purrs.
My wife Heather and I both scored the first day of turkey hunting in Minnesota. Tough conditions; cold with 30 mph winds. The turkeys crossed an open field several hundred yards away. To date we have killed four mature toms with this call.
